LeCroy introduces two new low cost serial trigger and decode options that significantly enhance the power and capability of the oscilloscopes in the embedded test market. In addition, for scanning modes that are measurement-based, a ScanHistogram can be created to show the statistical distribution of the found events. WaveScan in WaveRunner Xi allows to overlay in a ScanOverlay view to provide a quick and simple comparison to one another. The oscilloscope can be configured to ‘scan’ for a frequency value outside of an expected range, which is not possible with any hardware trigger. In addition to being able to search for an unusual event in a single acquisition, WaveScan can search for an event over a period of hours or days, and perform a number of functions once the events are found. WaveScan goes beyond hardware triggering and therefore offers a much higher capability. Thus, hundreds or thousands of measurements in a single acquisition can be acquired, and results returned, in the same amount of time that other oscilloscopes require to return a single measurement value. A LeCroy X-Stream oscilloscope will quickly calculate a measurement value for all instances of a measurement in an acquisition. WaveScan builds on a traditional LeCroy strength. From there, a user can zoom to view, or apply additional analysis tools for complete debugging. In a single acquisition, WaveScan will identify the unusual event with a red box and list the values in a table. Select from nearly 20 search modes, apply a search condition, and begin scanning. WaveScan provides the ability to locate unusual events in a single capture, or scan for an event in many acquisitions over a long period of time. The best trigger will not find all unusual events – a more powerful capability is needed. List price for the WaveSurfer 24Xs is £4,120 and £8,250 for the WaveSurfer 104Xs. Now, the WaveSurfer Xs product line encompasses a range of models from 200MHz to 1 GHz. In addition a new entry model with 200MHz and 2.5GSample/sec on four channels is available (WaveSurfer 24Xs).

The new WaveSurfer 104Xs increases the WaveSurfer Xs product line to a full 1GHz of bandwidth, with a maximum sample rate of 5GSample/sec.
List price is £10,250 for the 1GHz model and £13,065 for the 2GHz model. Sampling rates for both are 5GSample/sec on four channels, interleaved to 10GSample/sec. Now, WaveRunner Xi has raised the bar it is available as 1GHz model (WR 104Xi) and as 2GHz model (WR 204Xi). Never before has so much performance and capability been provided in an oscilloscope with a small six inch deep footprint. In spring of 2006, WaveRunner Xi shattered the notions of what was possible in a small footprint oscilloscope. With this introduction, LeCroy is also launching the advanced Search and Analysis feature WaveScanTM as standard on all LeCroy Windows-based oscilloscopes. LeCroy‚ introduces four new oscilloscopes that expand the bandwidth of the WaveRunner Xi and WaveSurfer Xs product lines to an 2GHz bandwidth. LeCroy launches four new models, WaveScan Search and Analysis and I2C/SPI Serial Trigger and Decode to its successful oscilloscope lines.
